We’re Jaana and Anu, two hiking guides who created Aventura after seeing how much joy outdoor play brings to grown-ups as well. Matkafestival marks our first major public event, where we share our ideas and gather inspiration for the future.
Our interactive game is designed for the whole family and offers a new way to experience nature using just a smartphone.

⏳ Duration: Approximately 3 hours
📍 The tour starts from the Matkafestival area at Kõlakoda Park in Aegviidu.
This tour is designed for nature and hiking enthusiasts who love being active outdoors, appreciate forest food, and enjoy the present moment. It’s perfect for those ready for a longer adventure in nature.
Uuejärve Matkapesa is a lifestyle company that promotes hiking, movement, and spending time in nature. Hiking can be an adventure, a discovery, a way to find oneself, or a challenge to push one’s physical limits. Every moment spent in nature brings new discoveries and learning experiences—whether it’s understanding the laws of nature, recognizing one’s own abilities, foraging for edible plants, or spotting wildlife activities.
Being in nature teaches us to respect and appreciate what we often take for granted.
We invite hikers to explore the trails of Northern Kõrvemaa, a landscape so rich in lakes that it has been called both the Switzerland of Estonia and the land of eskers. Our journey follows parts of the Uuemõisa nature trail, offering a diverse natural experience and ever-changing scenery.
Along the way, we will pass through various forest types, water bodies, old farmsteads, and eskers. At Vargamäe esker, we will take a longer break, enjoy a cup of tea, and immerse ourselves in the mystical nighttime landscape. Our thoughts will drift back in time—to the lost village of Koitjärve, which once followed the ridges, or even further, to the Ice Age, when the sediment from glacial rivers shaped the steep-sided landforms around us.
As with all Susi Sosinad journeys, we will experience the arrival of darkness and the deep silence of nature. As night falls, our dominant sense of sight takes a backseat, allowing us to become more aware of our other senses. As conversations fade, we begin to hear the whispers of nature—and, perhaps, those within ourselves.
The pace of the hike is relaxed, but the distance and the 90-meter-high eskers require moderate physical effort. Moving through the dark means a slower pace than usual, and warm, comfortable clothing is highly recommended. Hikers are welcome to bring a thermos of tea and a small snack.
The hike starts at 20:00 from the Uuejärve nature trail starting point, which is also where our journey will end.
📍 Click here to open the STARTING POINT on Google Maps.
⏳ Duration: 4.5 hours
📏 Distance: ~8 km
Susi Sosinad was founded by Kadi, Kristi, and Sandra with the mission of supporting mental well-being through nature experiences. We believe that spending time in nature holds the key to self-discovery and deeper contentment. We organize hikes, camps, workshops, birthday events, and team gatherings—creating unforgettable nature experiences.
“Nighttime Eskers” is a unique opportunity to experience the magic of Susi Sosinad!
The word “susi” (wolf) symbolizes nature, its mystery, primal energy, and tranquility—the deep peace we find in the wilderness. “Sosinad” (whispers) represent our inner desires, thoughts, dreams, and longings—the timeless journey of self-discovery that brings us closer to true fulfillment.
